The Beauty of Organization

Many case studies have been conducted that link clutter with a lack of productivity.

If you have any doubt about this, it’s easy to reach your own conclusions by conducting a simple experiment:

Work for 1 week in an office without putting anything away, allowing all your project paperwork to pile up on your desk and available work surfaces.  Note how you feel: when entering your work space, during your work day, and at the end of your work day.  Note how much you’ve achieved and how much is left undone at the end of the day.

At the end of this week, tidy your work space and put everything away. Clear your desk entirely of all clutter.  Repeat the experiment in your now tidy work space for the next week, making sure to maintain tidiness as much as possible throughout the day and clearing your desk and work surfaces at the end of each day.

No doubt, unless your office has suitable storage solutions, you’re going to find the second week a bit of challenge because you probably don’t have the means to store your work in a tidy, yet easily accessible fashion.  Even so, you should feel a vast difference in stress levels and productivity at the end of your ‘tidy’ week.

storwal 3Now… imagine using a work space that has been completely designed around the need to quickly and easily store everything you use, including the paperwork you create daily. Imagine that this storage is logical, your documents easily accessible, and your space visually pleasing.  Imagine all power and data wiring invisible, hidden away from sight.  Imagine uncluttered work surfaces and floor, with plenty of room to move around freely.

You’ve just imagined a Storwal work area.

With sensible, attractive and logical storage built right into your work space – without cumbersome and claustrophobic overhead storage – you will discover the joy of being in control of your work day.  Everything has a place – and everything’s in it’s place.

Why is this so important? Studies show that when your environment is cluttered, your mind is cluttered.  It makes it difficult to focus and prioritize because of visual over stimulation.  Not only that, but when you spend a lot of your time searching for things you need that you know are ‘right there’ not only does it waste valuable work time, but it creates higher levels of frustration and a sense of being out of control.

Can you imagine how nice it would be to save even 15 minutes a day? That would add up to 75 minutes in every 5 day work week – which adds up to 3,900 minutes a year.  That’s 65 hours… an entire week and a half of work days!

Think about it.

A Storwal work space allows you to save time, reduce stress, focus better, increase productivity and be more in control.  It’s a beautifully simple solution to the chaos many of us experience as a result of clutter!

The beauty of Storwal organization is that it can be integrated with other systems, providing flexibility. It can be custom configured to suit your work space requirements for multi-tasking and shared spaces as well as touch-down areas and private offices. Because every person is different, Storwal allows you to create a space tailored to your differences.

The design is modern and sophisticated with multiple visual configurations such as open or closed, sliding, hinged or tambour door options and a variety of colors.

As I’ve mentioned, being organized has many benefits, but probably the most significant is improved morale.  And it’s easier to achieve than you might think.  Give me a call, or email me today to begin enjoying the beauty of organization.
