Jill Wasley, a corporate trainer from Inscape’s Toronto headquarters, together with Michael Ackelbein the Regional Vice-President and Barbara Cooper, Inscape’s factory representative for Los Angeles advised dealers about how to specify Inscape products for this rapidly changing market.

“The objective of this training is to ensure that our dealers understand our products and to specify furniture solutions that are best suited to our customer’s goals and their designer’s vision,,” says Ackelbein.

Dealers in attendance were Office PlanIt and Olab Studio, Vertex, T.E. Wilson, Kairos, Red Hula, Architype and Office Design Group.

This prestigious building has now been awarded the title “Office Building of the Year” in the Renovated Building Category by the Greater Los Angeles Building Owners and Managers Association (B.O.M.A.)

Inscape is proud to be associated with this iconic, high profile location and will be installing our Fronte walls as well as Planna and Scala work stations in a show suite.

With this installation, Inscape will be demonstrating how these flexible furniture solutions  offer  a contemporary, high performance work space while maintaining a responsible approach to environmental planning incorporating movable walls.

Since Ratkovich Co. together with Prudential Real Estate Investors acquired this building in December 2005 and began renovating, occupancy has increased to over 90%.  The building was originally designed as a companion to the L.A. County Museum of Art across the road and it shares the museum’s formal plan and water feature.

One of the most notable tenants of 5900 Wilshire Boulevard is ‘Variety’ Los Angeles’ show business newspaper.  Variety occupies 55,000 square feet over the top three floors and sports a large, red illuminated ‘Variety’ sign at the top of the building.
